Despite the efforts in Afghanistan there plenty of other more 'important' wars going on at the moment. One of which is in Team fortress 2 between the soldier and demoman classes and today one lucky warrior of the two gets an update! and probably because Valve pitys the poor one eyed scotsman, the Demoman gets the update. In this update Demoman gets 2 new weapons, a comic and a un-named mystery weapon in the comic! Also in other news the latest War statistics show Soldier is slightly ahead with 4666558 demos killed vs. 4441214 soldiers killed.

Knowing Valve and their clever employees, a meaty update like the WAR update can't go without those funny quirks and jokes but more importantly - more updates and MORE Saxton Hale. In Fact, they have hidden all these updates and info in the new hub page which has been changed into a newspaper - teufort times (clever aye?).The Newspaper also shows the casualty report for soldiers and demoman while also, as a newspaper it has comics and what comics you may ask? Saxton Hale comics!!!

Although I didn't watch them or the live stream, after reading the winners I was pleasantly suprised with some of the Spike VGAs. While a few of them weren't the most well deserved and some of the fans of certain games will be dissapointed but It is mostly a matter of opinion. I'm glad that they gave Uncharted 2 game of the year and Rocksteady Studio of the year even though Naughty Dog should of won that TBH. Worse case scenario would be Modern Warfare 2 - GOTY and Infinity Ward - Studio of the year.

However I'm not sure what was so awesome and suprisingly amazing in the first 5 minutes that Geoff Keighley hinted. He probably was talking about the Arkham Asylum 2 teaser but seriously... how is that the most suprising in VGA history?

"Do not miss the first five minutes of the Spike VGAs for our biggest surprise premiere in VGA history!" was 'tweeted' by Geoff Keighley a video journalist yesterday. We aren't very sure what this is or what it will be about but in my opinion it will be probably the biggest teaser, news or debut this time of the year. Otherwise don't bother watching the awards if you are actually wanting to watch ...the awards, hell they put infinity ward as a nominee for developer of the year ...blasphemy

The good folks at Crytek pleasantly suprised us with the release of The Crysis Wars Holiday Period. Now I hear you asking... 'what is this crysis wars holiday period and how can I get in?'. Well my friend the Crysis Wars Holiday period is period from the 19th to the 29th of December where anyone with a decent enough PC and a fast internet connection can play as long as they sign up for a MyCrysis account where you will be emailed your demo key to use in the game client and play in the duration of the event which gives plenty of time to pwn strangers online while eating christmas ham simultaneously.

Gamers who have downloaded the Client can play against friends in LAN prior to the event and for as long as they like granted that the person does the online activation for the game.

Today Valve released its new, Class based War update for Team Fortress 2. However the story doesnt end there, the War update gives Demoman and Soldier players 3 new weapons for each respective class and the odd map and separate achivements for each class. However! there is apparantly a Seventh weapon in the update in which only one of the Demoman and Soldier class can receive and in order to get that e.g mysterious soldier weapon you must kill more demomen (MAGGOTS) as a soldier than you kill soldiers as a Demoman and vice versa. More weapons will be introduced throughout the week and at the end of the week you will be rewarded for your explosive behaviour towards (soldier or demoman) with that mysterious seventh weapon. Players can also see what weapons and new content are being introduced at the War Hubpage.So what are you waiting for? Drop your sandvich and change classes immediately! ...even if it means killing yourself.
